Ludworth Primary qualify for the English Schools’ National Final

Two teams of swimmers from Ludworth Primary traveled over to Liverpool on Friday 22nd April to compete against the best school swimming teams in the North West.

The two teams consisted of seven swimmers from Marple Swimming Club:
Sofia Hankey
Oliver Hope
Thomas McCabe
Sam Spencer
Fiona Telfer
Jasmine Yates
Olivia Yates

All swimmers swam amazingly well, with the team made up of Sofia, Tom, Sam and former Marple swimmer Ben Rose eventually qualifying to compete at the National finals. This is a fabulous achievement and is only the third time that Ludworth have ever got to the National finals.

Christmas Eve Swim

Thanks to everybody who took part in the The 3rd Annual Christmas Eve/Breakfast swim.  It was an early start for me.

55 swimmers from our Development and up to our Adults group assembled at 6.30am on Christmas Eve.

A bit of a warm up of 50’s and some 25’s lad to the main event, the relays.  The Blue ribbon event, freestyle, was won by lane 4. Then it was onto All things nice for a well earned breakfast.

Thanks to all who came and made this the most popular one we’ve done.
